My Story to Digital Marketing

Hi My Dear Reader, I'm Ahmed El Bagory, recently I start working as a freelancer digital marketer beside my ordinary job as an electrical engineer.

Since my graduation, I was weaponed with many skills and always working on it in order to improve and develop it; because I'm seeking the better. I always targeting job opportunities that match my qualifications and skills at multinational companies, but without any result.

Always I was improve myself, my skills, and qualifications to fit another opportunity, but without any result or feedback too. I repeated that more and more times till started to loss the passion in my career as an engineer, and I start thinking about shifting my career to another track where I can utilize non-engineering skills I have for example: graphic design skills. According to that I tried many times to get freelancing jobs at this track, and guess what? I failed again.

At this moment I stopped with myself, asked myself many questions:

1. Is my CV not formatted well?
2. Are my skills presented in a good manner in that CV?
3. Am I actually well qualified to jobs I applied for?

Then I started to search for answers for each question; to evaluate myself, to know what’s wrong?, and why I didn’t accepted?, then I found that I need to market myself, I need to know how to sell myself, skills, and qualifications to recruiters.

So I start searching for the most powerful digital marketing course immediately, and I found Digital Marketing Nano Degree via egyptFWD initiative sponsored by Udacity. I didn’t hesitate to join that course.

During this course I’ve learnt many lessons for example:

1. Marketing isn’t only about selling something, but about how to help your target audience and satisfy their needs.
2. You need to build a strong bond and relationship with your target audience.
3. Marketing is about nurturing your audience.
4. Digital marketing isn’t just a career or track, it’s a life style.
